Riva Recipes (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a platform that allows users to connect and manage authorized Facebook Pages and related Meta services.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use our platform, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account or use our platform, we may process information such as:
- Account information, including your name and email address.
- Information necessary to authenticate and maintain your account.
- Technical and security information such as login activity, timestamps, and application logs.
2. Information Received from Meta
If you choose to connect your Facebook account or Facebook Page, our platform may receive information from Meta according to the permissions you authorize.
Depending on the features you use and the permissions granted, this may include:
- Your Facebook account identifier and basic profile information.
- Facebook Pages you are authorized to manage.
- Page identifiers, names, profile pictures, categories, and other Page information.
- Page posts and related information that Meta makes available through its APIs.
- Messenger conversations and messages associated with a connected Page when Messenger functionality is enabled.
- Message delivery, read, and related messaging events provided through Meta webhooks.
- Information necessary to maintain the connection between our platform and your authorized Facebook Pages.
We only request access necessary to provide the features offered by the platform.
3. Facebook and Meta Permissions
Our platform may request Meta permissions including permissions required to:
- Identify Facebook Pages you manage.
- Connect selected Pages to the platform.
- Read permitted Page information and content.
- Manage the technical connection between a Page and our application.
- Receive Messenger events for connected Pages.
- Allow authorized users to view and reply to Page conversations.
Granting a permission does not transfer ownership of your Facebook account or Page to us.
4. How We Use Information
Information is processed to:
- Authenticate users.
- Connect authorized Facebook accounts and Pages.
- Display information about connected Pages.
- Display permitted Page content.
- Provide Messenger inbox functionality.
- Receive and process Meta webhook events.
- Send authorized Messenger replies.
- Maintain connection status and detect errors.
- Protect the platform against unauthorized access and abuse.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and improve the service.
We do not use connected Facebook Page data for unrelated purposes.
5. Access Tokens and Security
Meta access tokens and other sensitive credentials used by our platform are handled server-side and are not intentionally exposed to the browser.
Sensitive credentials stored by the platform are protected using appropriate technical safeguards, including encryption where applicable.
We also use authorization controls designed to ensure that users can only access Pages and information associated with their authorized workspace or account.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and therefore absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
6. Messenger Data
When Messenger functionality is enabled for a connected Page, our platform may process messages and messaging events sent to or from that Page.
This information is used to provide the Messenger inbox and related functionality requested by the Page administrator.
Message content and attachments may be stored where necessary to provide these features and are protected using appropriate safeguards.
Our platform does not authorize users to send unsolicited messages or use Messenger in violation of Meta’s policies.
7. Webhooks
Meta may send events to our servers through webhooks when activity occurs on a connected Page.
Webhook information is processed only for supported platform functionality, such as receiving messages, message delivery events, read events, and other authorized events.
8. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information obtained through Meta APIs.
Information may be processed by infrastructure or service providers when necessary to operate, secure, host, or maintain the platform.
We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or where reasonably necessary to protect the security and integrity of the service.
9. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, maintain security, comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, or fulfill legitimate operational requirements.
Information that is no longer required may be deleted or anonymized.
10. Disconnecting Facebook
Users can disconnect supported Facebook Pages from the platform.
Disconnecting a Page prevents the platform from continuing to use that Page connection for supported functionality.
Users may also remove the application’s access through their Facebook/Meta account settings.
11. Data Deletion
You may request deletion of information associated with your account or Meta connection.

12. Third-Party Services
Our platform interacts with services provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. Your use of Facebook and other Meta services is also governed by Meta’s own terms and privacy policies.
Other infrastructure providers may be used to operate the platform.
13. Children’s Privacy
The platform is not intended for children under the minimum age required to independently use the relevant services in their jurisdiction.
We do not knowingly design this service to collect children’s personal information.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform develops or legal and platform requirements change.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
